The Dual Carriage Waterjet System employs two cutting heads. These systems can be equipped with multiple 5-axis cutting heads and/or a combination of both 3-axis and 5-axis heads giving you the flexibility you need for your application.
This 3-axis, single carriage waterjet cutting machine excels at high-speed waterjet cutting and abrasivejet cutting. Pair it with a HERO 50 Ultra High-Pressure pump for optimum performance. Trade up to a 5-axis abrasive water jet and breeze through 6” stainless steel plate and 20” aluminum block cutting near-net shapes with beveled edges up to 60° with no taper.
The Edge X3-HR, 3-axis motion system is customizable for high speed processing. By attaching a precision machined Spreader Bar to the Z Carriage, up to ten sub-Z cutting heads can be mounted allowing you to cut ten identical parts in one cycle. The independently controlled Sub Z’s can handle water only cutting, abrasive cutting or both. Heads can be positioned manually or positioned via your program. Incorporate load/unload systems for the highest efficiency levels achievable with water jet cutting.
The Edge X5 mid rail and high rail, 5-axis waterjets now feature our breakthrough abrasive cutting system: the Permalign Arrow SL. The Arrow SL cutting head delivers the ultra-high pressure generated water stream directly to the cutting surface without any bends. This Straight Line technology produces the highest cut finish quality, the fastest activation speeds in high cycle environments, and the lowest maintenance cost.
Jet Edge’s lineup of Ultra-high pressure intensifier pumps just got stronger. The HERO Series pumps are rated to 60,000 psi to power both your water and abrasive 3-axis and 5-axis waterjet cutters. With flow rates ranging from 1.1 gpm to 3.2 gpm, you can dedicate a single pump to a single cutting head, use a single pump to drive multiple cutting heads or drive multiple tables with a single pump.
The HERO 50 Waterjet Intensifier Pump, with Jet Smart Controls sets a new performance standard for UHP Intensifier pumps. With two intensifiers delivering an industry leading 3 gallons per minute of high pressure water, nothing stands in its way.
